An Aching Parting

February 9, 2020

My dear Students,

I was humming and hawing over writing these messages to you all but eventually I decided to put them into words anyway. When I take a trip down memory lane, I cannot fathom how privileged I was to be your class teacher for the last two consecutive years.

I had so much fun being your first Physics mentor and second family member. All I can do now is to breathe those moments again and cherish their sweetness and purity afresh.

I cannot believe that the time to whisper ourselves a fond adieu has arrived. Nonetheless, this is the phenomenon of life. Keep it that way. For, seeds dispersed from the same tree will always grow into the same fruit. There is no such thing as a goodbye for us.

Now, as you travel into a new season of your life, you will experience the weather of every emotion albeit not simultaneously. The bliss of roaring success, the agony of vexing failure, the miscarriage of your mission-critical dream or losing appetite to accomplish at your optimum capacity. All of these are what you make it. So, be brave, and strikingly creative, and embrace stainless determinations to row the ship of your life, come what may. In the end, you are the captain of your own destiny.

Work harder to be luckier. Light darkness to see further. Go the extra mile to reach higher. Keep trying to realize your talents. On one occasion, you will master the algebra of making the impossible possible. We all have that genius in us. We only need to discover it ourselves.
I wish you the best in your future.

Sincerely,
DUMCHO WANGDI
