A Ritual of Regal Splendour

His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen

The light of its maiden trip
Glowed with viral speed and nature
Webbed the hearts with common uncommon grip
Knitted of same colour and gesture
To a ceremony of a royal splendour

The lyrics of nuptial bliss rippled like wild flames
Fashioned to be a locus of common yarn
For people of all kinds, high tough or low lames
All in one to colour the history’s barn
To a ceremony of a royal splendour

King Jigme Khesar, a portrayed People’s King
A ruler that earth spot as an ordinary human sort
To wed Ashi Jesteun into the Wangchuk’s ring
A utopian joy to all Bhutanese on the dot
To celebrate a ceremony of a royal splendour

King Jigme Khesar, the noblest of the noble
Light of the youths, hopes for an old
Pride to the soil acts so local, heart all global
Charismatic attributes, scores of it lies untold
Of a King on a voyage of royal splendour

The fountain of love pats both young and old
Strings of compassion dance to the people’s tune
Waves of charity surf every living and cold
Skills a nation of woe and greed immune
By a King who sails for the wedding rite

King Khesar, an altruistic living print of Avolokitesvara
To Ashi Jetsuen, a dazzling grain of the Tara
An emblem of compassion and refuge blend
Like a sweet melody of the story end
Graceful and lively, grow to every trend
"Nuptial love maketh mankind; friendly love perfecteth it; but wanton love corrupteth and embaseth it" Francis Bacon (1561 - 1626)
