I can't REMEMBER to FORGET you

I can feebly recall this line of melody carved with those beautiful sketch pens at the feet of my diary a long time ago. It read:

“Everyone says you only fall in love once, but that’s not true, because every time I see you, I fall in love all over again- Anonymous”.

A nice collection!

Love to me, is like one feather of an infectious psychosomatic syndrome. Because from the day I started to drink it, I remain intoxicated hitherto. And as time fleets, its cells ignite to multiply and capture every chamber of my little heart. Now that my heart is totally drenched with the blood of love, it is sensitive to the pain of withdrawals and separations.

History has it that, legendary poets like John Keats, Oscar Wild, Lord Byron, Robert Browning, and Matthew Arnold have died young from this disease. Their poems speak with heavily ruined emotional spirits contaminated with the poison of love. It is so remorseful that their time died without any discovery of medication for love. Even at this time, I feel no human can discover a drug to eliminate the pain caused due to love.

Amusingly, the strange thing about love is that it acts as a device, highly sophisticated and sensitive to the amount of love we retain against the test of time. Distance is not a variable that affects the weather of love unless we fall from the constant room temperature. Thus, distance simply matters as the space between the minds, not our hearts.

I always remind my love that I will never take love as a dictionary of substitutes. I said this because people with strong financial muscles often express love in the form of wealth. But I do not envy since a guy like me can give my love in the form of love to my love who gives me love. This has been the personal constitution that we follow in the kingdom of our life for the last six years.

Subsequently, no occasion died hungry of our participation. From New Year to the end of the year, from Valentine's to our Birthday, we dance on the roller coaster of our love. But the love that I drank today (Valentine’s Day) is so special that the adjectives available in the dictionary can cause more harm than good to describe it.

I have never realized the degree of her attention in cultivating our love. It is so surprising that before our separation, she left a hand-woven love letter and a special cactus flower for me with one of my mates for today’s Valentines.

The seed of love can grow in any sterile place

However, reading a handcrafted love letter in this technological era is like performing a Zhungdra (traditional song) by our age to a group of young audiences. Like those young mocks while the old sang, my friends would prank me while I read those beautiful lyrics.

The handwoven letter that I read at 30

All in all, I loved the cactus flower for the reason that it symbolized the strength of our love. Like the cactus that has the capacity to grow in the dehydrated desert, our love will perform miracles to bloom in any kind of sterile circumstances. I knew then that, “Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter” as said by John Keats.

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage” –Lao Tzu
