Super League on JYT's Resignation

The former Prime Minister Jigme Yoezer Thinley’s resignation proposal on the eve of the second parliament triggered the canons of people’s opinions to flood the media and to take the front pages of every newspaper. There were volumes of hue and cry and thousands of intellectual blows exchanged under the roof of anonymity on the walls of media and social media.

While some things like this occur back in a small and happy beautiful the Himalayan Kingdom, her citizenry dwelling aboard to pursue higher academic glamour [like me] sometimes feels lost because I still have that dogmatic conviction that some part of the pregnant story is missing. Local newspapers, though remain as a single limb to imbue me with national happenings, the writings are on majority based on the keyboard of one’s understanding and scripts.

When the first Ruling government [Druk Phuensum Tshogpa, DPT] was formed, Bhutan happily trod on a carpet of an international gravity with His Excellency Jigme Yoezer Thinley taking the lead. With the Gross National Happiness [GNH] tag on the processor of his witty brain, Jigme Yoezer Thinley in his capacity as a first democratically elected Prime Minister further modified Bhutan into a GNH nucleus creating a stronger centripetal force of international attention. Even as a Prime Minister of the world's youngest democratic nation, he was fearless to marathon his ideas among a series of senior top dogs in the global market. Bhutan is now far and large, recognized as a sovereign and independent state, thanks to His Majesty the Kings and the honourable ex-PM Jigme Yoezer Thinley.

However, now with his resignation script placed on the table of Tshogpoen Jigme Zangpo, many seem to remain perplexed in joining the already confused National Assembly speaker.  None of us, I feel are excused to contemplate why he quits. But the Media reports that the DPT president submitted resignation on the ground that he wants to offer a place for the youth to partake in politics.

Smelling his resignation memo ajar, anonymous forum players passed their own share of kicks in the online forum stadium. The verdict of approval or otherwise is still not bare while the players have actively started their Superleague match on JYT's resignation. The ultimately elected umpire of the National Assembly Tshogpoen Jigme Zangpo, who recently received the speaker whistle is pushed to scrutinize, research, analyze, weigh up and judge before giving the cards of any colour.

The Tshogpoen under a compass of contemplation

Sometimes, as I flip back the album of my memory of his reign, it gives me only a pinch of stun when a Famous Penn Stater floated a quitting statement. The born leader had paramount leadership qualities that amazed the world and make the mighty fear of his insight. His blood had enough patience cells towards those anonymous social media big guns that composed infinite malicious intent on his potency. He survived with sound health despite those fatal electronic censures and criticisms targeted even to his families.

A born leader who knew to shoot the arrow of  his insight into an unseen world target

He was a pure Bhutanese leader designed to steer and make us travel the road less travelled and without a trace of greed shared his wit for the cause of humanity. One of his teachers in Dr Graham's Homes in Kalimpong, India was not mistaken to remark, "Should Bhutan become a democratic country, Jigme Thinley will be the first Prime Minister".

While democracy is about instituting individual fundamental rights and strengthening the freedom of speech, it necessarily doesn't connote one's right to advocate maliciousness or to speak evil of others freely. That person who wishes to correct others must speak with accountability and justification publicly and not merely make a noise behind the curtains.

Personally, I felt the reason for his vacation would be because he was saturated with those inhuman criticisms and tonnes of unfounded malevolence. Few web hosting were financed particularly to advocate inflicting pain for him to choose 'criticism' or 'quit' politics. He was used as the cheapest commodity easily available in the market of anonymous critics. He was mobilized as a teaching aid to make some of the websites gain attention. In fact, even after the submission of his resignation, these gang of anonymous critics never excused him by holding his leg to be alive in the pond of their vilification.

While considering the financial impacts of the country incurred to conduct election should be taken into account, individual fundamental rights should also be respected. Therefore, the gist is that disapproval should be dressed in a sublime national rationale while approval shouldn't be harrowing to him and the country. After all, it is DEMOCRACY not DEMONS CRAZY

"Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future"- John F. Kennedy
